It seems today was a day that had numerous issues caused by CrowsStrike / Falcon. Hopefully this fix / tweak can get you and your systems back up and running as soon as possible!
Try the following to see if it helps your issue (and if you have proper permissions to do so):
- Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment
- Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory / folder
- Locate the file(s) matching “C-00000291*.sys“, and delete them.
- Restart your computer (normally)
*Follow these steps at your own risk (or ask a qualified IT person to go through them with you if you’re not sure what to do).
